Keiko Wada, DMD, is a recognized specialist in patient-centered care in comprehensive, preventative and cosmetic dentistry for adults and children.
Dr. Wada received her undergraduate degree from Smith College and her dental degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Dentistry. After completing her dental residency, Dr. Wada moved back to her hometown to practice dentistry, where she has continued to grow and develop her practice for over 20 years.
Born and raised in Gig Harbor, Dr. Wada has a dedication to the South Sound. Her father is a retired physician who practiced for over 35 years at Tacoma General Hospital, and her mother, a retired teacher, started the Japanese language program at Charles Wright Academy and taught there for over 35 years. Dr. Keiko Wada attended local Gig Harbor schools and completed her high school education at Charles Wright Academy.
Dr. Keiko Wada continues to participate in several local and regional study clubs that enhance her experience and knowledge.
In addition, Dr. Keiko Wada has been invited to be a visiting faculty member and mentor for Spear education, a highly-regarded dental institute focused on comprehensive dental education.
As the founder of Opalesque, Dr. Wada and her team complete continuing education in both clinical and administrative advancements to help patients receive optimal preventive and restorative dental care. She is proud to serve patients of all ages as your family's Gig Harbor dentist. Dr. Keiko Wada collaborates with other dental specialists and physicians to ensure treatment for adults and children are contiguous with the practice’s values.
Dr. Wada maintains active memberships in the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Washington State Dental Association and other local dental associations.
In her free time, Dr. Wada enjoys traveling with her family and friends and pursues her love for photographic and culinary experiences of many cultures.

Recognized for her deep commitment to the betterment of the underserved, Dr. Keiko Wada has been awarded for her long-standing service as Ambassador to the Open Wide Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improved, lasting change for dental health worldwide. In her new role, she will lead and contribute to the establishment and maintenance of clinics abroad offering vital dental care, facilitate clinic outreach and mentor local students and dentists.
